Connect Ubiquiti UniFi

Create a Site Manager API key at unifi.ui.com — a console-local key will not work.

There are two different things called a UniFi API key, and only one of them works. You need a Site Manager key created at unifi.ui.com. A Network application key created inside a single console is local to that console and StatusCheck cannot use it.

Get the key from Ubiquiti

  1. 1Sign in at unifi.ui.com with the Ubiquiti account your consoles are adopted to.
  2. 2Open API Keys from your account menu.
  3. 3Create a key, name it something like StatusCheck, and copy it. Like Meraki, it is shown once.

Add it to StatusCheck

  1. 1Open Integrations.
  2. 2Choose Ubiquiti Cloud as the vendor.
  3. 3Label it — the account or customer name.
  4. 4Paste the key and save.

Choose which consoles to sync

A Site Manager key usually sees every console on the account. Straight after saving, StatusCheck offers a Choose what to sync step so you can pick the consoles you actually want. You can change it later from the Scope button on the integration card — see choosing what to sync.

Devices must be adopted and online in the UniFi cloud for the API to report them. A console that is offline reports nothing, and StatusCheck cannot distinguish "the console is unreachable" from "this site has no devices" any better than Ubiquiti can.
