+−Do I need to install anything?
No. StatusCheck talks to your vendors’ cloud APIs. An optional on-prem collector arrives this autumn and adds SNMP and layer-2 discovery for gear that has no cloud API — but nothing about the product today requires software on your network.
+−How long does setup take?
Minutes per vendor. Paste an API key; discovery, classification and default alerting are automatic. A 200-device site does not need a maintenance window.
+−Is my client data isolated?
Yes. Tenant isolation is enforced at the database layer with row-level security, not just in the application, and it is backed by role-based access and a full audit log.
+−Can my clients see their own status?
Yes — public status pages per site or per client, plus scheduled branded PDF reports that land in their inbox on your schedule.
+−What counts as a device?
Anything we monitor with its own identity — a switch, access point, gateway, camera, or a client you have chosen to track. You control what counts.
+−Do you throttle polling on cheaper plans?
No. Polling interval is a product setting you control per device, right up to the whole site. It is not a paywall.
+−Will it flood me with alerts?
That is the failure mode we design against hardest, because a tool that pages you forty times on a Tuesday gets muted and then cancelled. Flap suppression, maintenance windows, severities, escalation chains and cooldowns all ship today, and every new alerting default is checked against one question before release: how many notifications does this create on a normal day?
+−Can alerts open tickets in my PSA?
Today, webhooks with fully custom payloads post to anything that accepts JSON, which covers the common PSAs. Native integrations are on the public roadmap, and payload customisation stays first-class either way.
+−What if I outgrow a tier?
Overage is $0.25 per device per month with a heads-up alert first, or you upgrade in one click. No forced sales call until you are past 10,000 devices.
+−Where is it hosted?
Vercel and Supabase, in the United States. We name our subprocessors rather than describing them vaguely.
+−What is missing?
SNMP and the on-prem collector this autumn. Layer-2 topology with it. Syslog, NetFlow and config management are later and we are not pretending otherwise. The roadmap is public and dated.
+−What happens when the trial ends?
You drop to the free plan — 25 devices, kept forever — rather than losing access to your data. No card is required to start, so nothing bills by surprise.
