Connect Domotz

Create a Domotz Portal API key, and pick your regional API cell if the default is wrong.

Get the key from Domotz

  1. 1Sign in at portal.domotz.com.
  2. 2Open your profile, then API Keys.
  3. 3Create a key and copy it.

Your Domotz account password is not an API key. Only a Portal API key works.

Add it to StatusCheck

  1. 1Open Integrations and choose Domotz.
  2. 2Label it, paste the key.
  3. 3Leave API base URL blank unless you know your account is not on the US East cell — StatusCheck detects the right one on the first poll.
  4. 4Save.

Domotz keys are bound to a regional API cell. If your first poll fails with a permission or not-found error and the key is definitely correct, the cell is the usual cause: set API base URL explicitly to the one your Domotz portal uses.

Choose which collectors to sync — do this one first

This matters more for Domotz than for any other vendor. A Domotz key frequently has visibility of collectors belonging to other accounts — partners, resellers, personal accounts — and StatusCheck imports whatever the key can see. On one real account, 72% of the devices a key imported belonged to networks the owner did not want monitored.

Straight after connecting, use the Choose what to sync step to select only your own collectors. The picker groups collectors under their owning organization and shows how many devices each one has already contributed. See choosing what to sync.

Two Domotz collectors watching the same physical LAN import the same devices twice. Scoping one out is the fix today; a device seen by two collectors is not yet automatically deduplicated.
